I knew I was playing with fire.
I could feel all five pairs of eyes on me—hungry, possessive, waiting—but the heaviest weight was Kayden’s. He sat rigid in the armchair they’d dragged to the perfect viewing angle, fists clenched on his thighs, purple eyes burning like twin amethysts.
