Rogue Vs Alpha

Chapter 2

*Aiden's POV

        I hate walking through town, all it does is give me a god damn headache. All the females throwing themselves at my feet wanting to be my queen, my Luna. That's one of the reasons i don't want a mate. Giving your entire being to someone else scares me. I've seen what it has done to my father after my mother was killed. It was like the good half of him died with her. He hasn't been the same since.

        'You act like you have a say in the matter. We will never reach our full potential as Alpha when you take over without her. You shouldn't compare your father to how we would be. He is weak.'

        Sam. My wolf. He is intelligent and at times more ruthless than i am. 

        'You have a point. But you know i have one as well. As soon as we meet her, we will be completely distracted. And you know as much as i that we do not have that luxury right now. Not with father and Ryan spiraling out of control.'

        'Yes but the council will be up our ass about not taking over until we have found her. And you know as well as i she is close. She might have just come of age and that's why we can all of sudden feel her. Be prepared is all i'm saying.'

        And he stops. 'You know you have this annoying habit of stopping the conversation thinking you have won.'

    "Just leave her!" That sounds like John up ahead. As i get closer i stop dead in my tracks. Sam perking up, going wild at the scent. This intoxicating sweet smell of the Forrest and cherries? I don't know i can't really describe it. The scent is getting stronger as i get closer to all the commotion up a head.

        'MATE. It's her.' 

        Sam is barely containing himself as much as i am. I pick up the pace and turn the corner to see my brother and two of his dumb ass friends surrounding the beautiful creature sitting on the floor holding her face. As soon as i see Ryan lifting his hand to strike her again, my body instinctively moves on it's on just in time to catch his arm. Staring him dead in the face trying to contain myself enough to remember that he is my brother and to not rip his fucking head off.

        "What the FUCK do you think you are doing?!" My hand getting tighter with each word i manage to spit out. He better have a good fucking excuse for me not to kill him right where he stands. 

        "Well?" 

        "N-nothing A-alpha. I-I was j-just trying to put this bitc-"

        I threw him off to the side before he could finish that sentence. I turn slightly behind me to see her in the corner of my eye. She doesn't seem to be to hurt. She is already standing dusting her self off while holding her cheek. 

        Turning my full attention back to Ryan i crotch down so i am eye level, speaking low enough only for us to hear.

        "If i catch you anywhere near her again. So much as breathe in her direction and i will rip your fucking head off. Do you understand me?" 

        "Y-yes A-alpha." 

        "Good. I want all three of you to head back to the pack house and we will continue this discussion there."

        Without needing another word Ryan get's up and bolts down the street. His two friends tight behind his tail.

        I stand up with my eyes closed, taking in a few deep breaths to try to contain my anger. Noticing it's not really working i turn back around to make sure my mate is alright. As soon as i open my eyes everything i was feeling is washed away in an instant. She is breath taking. Everything about her is perfect beyond words. Her beautiful blue eyes shining in the light. 

        She breaks eye contact first, looking in the opposite direction. Like my body knew what to do before my mind could catch up i take a big step forward and pull her face back to look at me. Both hands on each side of her face and a wave of electricity shoots throughout my body from the touch. I could tell she was feeling the same way. Her heartbeat and breathing have gotten faster, harder. As i start to gently stroke her beautiful face I could feel her tears which have now dried on her beautiful face. Just the thought of her sad or hurt brings that anger straight back up to the surface. 

        She looks familiar but nothing comes to mind as i try to remember her name. "Who are you?" Asking the question aloud without even realizing. It came out a bit more forceful than i would have liked.

        The question seems to have offended her. Her eyes look sad and hurt, breaking my heart at the sight. I could feel her take a deep breath in as she slaps my hands off her face, taking a step back. I can feel Sam howling at the rejection. I try to take a step forward but she follows my movement and takes another step back. Just as i'm about to as what's wrong she beats me to the punch.

        "Fuck." She managed to say between clenched teeth before turning around and running as if her life depended on it. Leaving me behind, completely stunned and confused.

*Evie POV

        I've been running for a few minutes. Going as fast as my legs would take me. This has to be a sick twisted joke. Why the fuck would the moon goddess make him my mate? His entire family think's I'm responsible for Luna Diana's death. His brother was just slapping me around because he didn't like that I was breathing the same air as him. 

    I'm running so hard i don't notice the small hole on the ground i would have normally easily avoided. My foot catches in the whole, twisting my ankle in the process. I take a bit of a tumble and roll for a couple of seconds. As soon as i stop i turn to lay on my back and look up at the sky.

    Although i never really believed i would be blessed enough to find a mate, i had always dreamed that if i had he would be someone that would love me. Welcoming me into his family with open arms. His family accepting me. Finally feeling like i belonged somewhere, instead of the outcast that no one wants to even look at. I'm all alone. Scared and confused as to what is going to happen to me next. He will reject me as his mate and take someone that is worthy to run this pack at his side. 

        'You are not alone. He loves you and will welcome you.'

    I sit up instantly hearing her voice can mean one thing. 'Scarlet? Is that you?'

    'Yes Evie it's me.'

    'Where have you been? I thought you had abandoned me..' I could barely finish my sentence without a sob breaking through. 

    'I have been in the deepest parts of your mind locked away for the last couple of years. Since we have yet to shift our bond had weakened to the point where i had to lock myself away before completely losing you all together.'

    'But i don't understand, what has changed? Why now?'

'Don't you get it? He called for me and i was able to answer. That is how i know he will accept you. He was calling out to me-us, and we were able to answer the call.'

    As if on cue as soon as Scarlet finished her sentence he appeared. Looking radiant in the moonlight, he is now in his wolf form. He is massive, twice the size of any other wolf i have seen. I could feel the pull, the mating bond. I just want to run to him, embrace him. He walks forward cautiously, noticing that i am injured and most likely can't run he stops and shifts back to his human form. 

    There he is. My mate standing before me. Completely naked and sexy beyond words. I lose all the nerve i have to say- anything. He is just standing there staring at me, seeming to be in the same boat as me. Not sure what to say. For a moment we sit in an awkward silence. He takes a few steps forward and sits down in front of me taking my hand in his. 

    "Are you alright? Does your foot hurt?" I can only nod like an idiot. My face bright red from blushing so hard. Tingles shooting from my hand to every single part of my body. 

    "I'm sorry. I-What is your name again?" I could tell that it bothered him he even had to ask. I begin to sigh feeling like this is the beginning of the end as soon as i tell him. Even if he did accept me there was no way his family would. But i know i can't hide it forever.

    "You know my name Alpha. Pretty sure everyone does. It's Evie Summer." I stare into his eyes as i say it, waiting for his reaction. Praying that Scarlet is right. For a moment i had hope until i saw the disappointment and disgust flash across his face. I knew it! I rip my hands out of his and his face softness as if it had never happened.

    "I'm sorry. You just took me by surprise. I didn't mean to offend you. Truly. I want to get to know you. You know as well as i that you are my mate."

    I quickly stand up, not sure what to do to say. I can tell he is disappointed that he has me for a mate. 

    "I know. And now that you know who i am, your going to reject me. Right?" I started out strong but by the end of it, it came out as soft as a whisper. I look up into his eyes, bracing myself for it. 

       "No." 

    "No?" 

    "I'm not here to reject you. It doesn't matter who you are. I can't promise to love you but i will treat you well. I need a mate if i am to take over as Alpha. And the only way for me to do that is to have my mate by my side. My Luna, both of us at full strength to lead this pack out of this shit excuse of a pack we currently have. And for that i need and from the looks of it you need me. You will accept me and complete the mating bond with me and take your place by my side!"

    I feel lost. This is not how this is supposed to go. He is meant to profess his undying love for me and tell me he will love me and protect me at all costs. Not this.  

    "No."

    The words came out before I could stop them and the next thing i know Aiden grabs me and slams me up against a tree. His body on mine, feeling the heat from his body. His breath on my face, just inches away. I try to struggle out of his grasp and he slides his leg in between mine pressing up against my sex, making a moan escape my lips. He flashes a wide grin, moving his leg so he brushes me in all the right spots. 

    "Doesn't seem like your body is saying no?" His grin gets wider as he crashes his lips onto mine. Feeling an intense wave electricity throughout my body. He let's my hands go as his hands travel from my arms down to my breasts. I let out another intense moan as i lock my hands behind his head deepening the kiss. He bites my lower lip making me gasp at the pleasure. He takes the opportunity to invade my mouth with his tongue. We fight over dominance, our tongues exploring each others mouths. Just as i take my hands to feel his touch and pull him closer to me, he let's go backing away with a satisfied grin on his face. 

                                     Knowing I will never be able to reject him.
