**Amelia's POV**
My mom couldn't look at me as I asked what was wrong. My dad had so much trouble holding his composure. He looked like he wanted to tear down the building brick by brick. The two of them looked completely destroyed, but neither could give me an answer to the question that was weighing on my heart.
"What happened?!" I cried. It had to be bad. But how bad?
My dad lead my mom to the living room to sit her down, and I followed. "Sit down." He gestured to the spot next to my mom, but I shook my head. He took a deep breath and with his words, my heart was shattered. "The witch that was working for Hamilton burst through the room last minute and told the entire Council- she told them- she said.."
"What!" I yelled. Frustrated that it was taking too long to get answers. Every
