The air was thick with murderous rage and male ego. Alexei was not only angry that Roman had claimed me, but that he was embarrassed and made a fool. A male wolf is not only territorial, but extremely prideful. I stepped between Roman and Alexei, which of course made my mate very angry, but this was also my fight. Even though it all started with me being a helpless human, it will definitely not end that way. I was not going to be treated like a toy to be fought over. I was going to make sure no one ever treated a woman like a piece of property to be owned ever again.
