Alex's POV
Burying Gamma James and Joy was crushing for the whole Pack. We had lost our own and that too bitterly. The Pack was heartbroken because both of them were good people. l thought that sharing Joy's grief would save her life, but clearly, l was wrong because the grief had killed her in the wee hours of the morning. We all felt her die because she was a part of our Pack, but unfortunately Emilia didn't because she lost her wolf.
l went to her room moments after l felt Joy's demise, but l found Emilia holding her like she was afraid that she would go somewhere, but she was unaware that Joy was already gone. l didn't wake her up because it was better she found out by herself, and when she didn't, l wasn't prepared for her heartbreak.
