7. She can't be a rogue.

Dexton's POV

"Come on man! Give me my bear," I scoff in the direction of Skylar who has grabbed my bear from which I was just going to take a sip.

"First answer my question then I will return back your bear," he replies and I roll my eyes.

Today I have planned to chill out by myself which was quite tough now a day's seeing my schedule where I was attending one meeting after another. But today I took out some time from my schedule and decided to spend my time with myself when these two fools of my beta found me. They tagged along with me and were making my free time a headache from the past hour.

"Moon to earth Dexxy?" I groan hearing the nickname given by Sky to me. "Now tell me you want to watch a romantic movie right?" he grins cheekily making me roll my eyes.

"I don't want to watch some romantic chicks. Jaxon's action movies are much better than your romance," I reply making him groan. Jaxon chuckles who rushed toward my home theater to set his favorite movie.

"You know, you both should watch some romantic movie like me," Sky scoffs. "By watching this movie you will be able to impress your mate, you know."

"I don't have a mate to impress," I shake my head. "Ask Jaxon to watch one."

"I have other ways to impress my girl so I don't need to worry about Romance," Jaxon shakes his head. "Now zip your mouth and let me watch my movie."

Jaxon points toward the projector screen and starts to watch his movie while I place my head back against the glass of my car not interested in the movie.

Meanwhile, we three are on my old secret spot which I have build away three years back, when my mate Emilia had died. I used to come here as a get away from all my pain and hurt when Skylar and Jaxon caught me and decided to give me company in my loneliness. I built an open sky theater here where we usually come when we are free.

I zoom out myself from the bickering of Jaxon and Sky and concentrated on the sky above us which is having a lot of stars. I take a swig of my beer while enjoying the view. I know that wolf can't get drunk especially me, an Alpha king but seriously I love it. I love it when the bitter taste of alcohol burns my throat which gives me a big relief.

Moreover, stars and beer were always a big companion of mine after losing my mate and I am all chill with them.

"Guys, I think I should be going as mom just mind linked me, asking me to visit her for a family gathering," Jaxon informs before jumping off the car and shifting in his wolf.

"He just wasted our time for no use," Sky scoff before rushing toward the player and playing some romantic movie making me groan.

"Why don't you find your mate and watch such illogical movie with her?" I grunt.

"I tried to find her but I think that she is making me wait for her."

"Like really??" I roll my eyes. "I know that you don't want to find your mate. You are just a little afraid. You just think that I will be left alone once you find your mate, isn't it?"

"It's not like that," he shrugs his shoulder. "Why would I think like that?"

"You know very well that I have selected you as my beta only to cut my loneliness and I also know that you skip mating gathering just in a fear that you will find your mate there, then you have to give my time to her. And dare you to lie?" I used my Alpha command in him.

"You are right," he sighs. "But it's all your mistake. Why don't you select someone as to be your chosen mate then I will not need to worry about your welfare. I will know that you have someone to look after you. But here you are not finding your second mate nor you are choosing one."

"You don't need to worry about me," I shake my head with a sigh. "I don't know if I will be able to find someone who will make my wolf feel something for her. I think I am destined to live alone without a mate."

"Why do you think so?" Sky poked my chest rather harshly. "I am sure that there is someone as also send by moon Goddess for you, who will fill your emptiness, who will bring my old Dexxy back. The one will give babies who will call me uncle," he grins only to get a punch from me.

He is about to protest for my punch when his mobile ring and I raise a brow in his direction.

"Is it a girl with whom you have flirted before?"

"Nah," he fakes a sad face. "No girl calls me back. They don't give me importance even when I am beta."

"It's just because of your lousy flirting," I chuckle and pock him who groaned before picking up the call and attending it.

"Hey Kyle, how come you remember me after so long?" Sky speaks up after receiving the call.

"I will not waste your time Sky I just," I could clearly hear the person on another side due to my wolf hearing. "I just need a favor from you Sky. As a friend, it will be a big favor."

Both I and Sky became alert hearing the seriousness in the voice of Kyle.

'Who is he?' I mind linked Sky.

'One of the warriors who came here for special training a year back' He immediately replied before again turning his attention on call. "What favor do you want?"

"Actually my sister, she got rejected by her mate, the Alpha and now is declared a rogue."

I felt my body stiffen hearing him and Sky who understands my dilemma places his hand on mine.

"Can you please ask King to make her member of your pack? You already know my sister Penelope right? I have told you about her during the training. I am just hell worried about her. I know that she will die to live as a lone wolf and I don't want her fate to be like that. My sister is a very strong and great warrior and she deserves a pack which only you can give her."

'What should I say to him?' Sky mind linked me.

'Say him that I granted the permission to let his sister enter in my pack. After Emilia, I can't let some innocent she-wolf die after becoming a rogue.' I reply and Sky immediately nods.

"Don't worry Kyle. I just got permission from King and we will bring your sister in our pack. You no longer need to be worried about her."

"Thank you so much," I could hear Kyle taking huge breaths in relief. "I will just send you the location as to where you can meet her."

"Sure. Till then I will be on my way," sky reply before cutting the call and then looks at me asking for the permission.

"You can go Sky," I nod to him. "Want to take the car?"

"Nope," he shakes his head. "I am all good by running as my wolf."

I nod to him before he jumped off the car, shifting to his wolf he rushed deep in the forest. I just hope that the she-wolf is all safe and sound not like my lost mate.
