(Darius) I stepped outside, the sounds of the pack members’ shouts already getting louder. It wasn’t just noise; it was anger, frustration, and disappointment. They were gathered in a large group near the packhouse, their voices rising and I could tell that they were serious. “Lauren isn’t our Luna!” one voice shouted, loud and firm. “She doesn’t deserve the title!” another yelled. I clenched my jaw and forced myself to remain calm as I approached them. The tension in the air was almost suffocating, and I could see Lauren standing off to the side, her arms crossed and a glare fixed on the crowd. She looked angry, but she wasn’t saying anything.
