[Jade]
Von Helsing was very intriguing and the fact that I kept meeting him almost everywhere in the city was pretty funny too.
My plan was to get hammered at the club but he wasn't letting me get as drunk as I wanted.
We danced on the dance floor but he was very respectful and he did not touch me indecently, even during a slow dance though there was not much of that because the club was raging and pumping.
The music was loud and amazing, I had a good time, I felt like I was really getting lit.
I did not know what I was going to do about Mason but I wanted to put myself first for once.
Ever since I left highschool, I'd been living for Mason, I loved him so I didn't really think much of it but Mason was really used to it and he'd started considering any small thing I did for myself to be selfish.
"Show me something fun." I laughed as Von helped me out of the club.
I was wasted, when he wasn't looking I ordered more drinks and drank them immediately.
I'd taken more than three shots of vodka and even some bartender special drinks that I didn't know the names of.
"I told you not to drink so much." He complained as he led me outside.
"Where's your car?" He asked me but I did not seem to remember again.
"I don't know, I must have sent Hugo home." I slurred and then laughed like a drunk.
"How are you going to get home then, wait here let me call you a taxi, everyone knows where the grand hotel is." He murmured to himself.
"Show me something fun, tell me what are your abilities, what can you do?" I looked up at him, dragging his coat down.
"I don't even know why I'm wasting my time." He grimaced and held me up when I slipped. "Hang on to me."
"Oh no." I giggled and he looked down at me.
"What's wrong?"
"I feel funny." I told him and began to giggle again, then I abruptly stopped giggling and looked serious.
"I think I'm going to be sick." I told him and I retched, it was not until I heaved three times before I realized that I was vomiting into a toilet bowl.
I looked around me and realized that I was in my hotel room toilet.
"Concentrate on getting it into the bowl, don't get any vomit on the floor." He chided me. "Because I ain't cleaning nothing."
I threw up again while he held my hair up and then I burned in embarrassment as I stood up from the floor and flushed the toilet.
"How do you feel?" He asked.
"That was fast." I exhaled. "Faster than I could ever go!" I exclaimed.
I had teleported many times but never this fast before, it felt like it was a flash, before a blink of an eye or a snap of a finger, he had already teleported us to my hotel bathroom.
He had never been in my room before yet he knew where to take us to.
"Yeah, demons are known to be pretty quick." He said, looking at me sadly.
" Why are you looking like that?" I asked him, a bit sober now.
"I don't like to use my powers in the human world." He said and he looked away from me.
"Now that you're better, I'll leave you." He said and before I batted an eye he was already gone.
I rinsed my mouth and brushed my teeth even though my hands were shaking and I nearly cut my gum twice.
I also washed my face but I was too tired to use any products so I decided to call it a night. When I got to the room, there was a glass of water and an Advil on the bed side table with a jot which read 'Take some before you sleep, it will help.'
I stared at the glass of water and Advil in awe because I knew they were kept by Von, he must be really fast to have kept there without me realizing it.
I took the pill and drank the glass of water he kept beside it on the table before falling asleep.
The next morning I groaned as I woke up, Von was wrong, the pill I took the night before did nothing to stop me from being hungover.
The ache in my head was like someone drilling a screw into my brain and the light sensitivity was just terrible, it felt like my eyes were about to pop out of their sockets and run away when I tried to open them.
When I did finally get them open, I reached for the bedside table and I found a full glass of water and some pills. I was sure I drank the whole glass of water yesterday so when did the glass get refilled?
Did Ivan come to my room sometime while I was asleep?
I couldn't ponder on the thoughts I was having because of the headache so I just popped the pill into my mouth and gulped it down with a glass of water.
I laid down again for a few minutes till the ache in my head subsided and then I ordered some food. It was already past noon and I wondered if housekeeping had left when they didn't get any response.
I knew why they didn't bother me when the food came, the do not disturb sign was placed on my door and I shook my head when I realized that it must have been Von who had done all those.
As I sat down to eat my food, I began to remember all of the good times Mason and I had in New York and I couldn't help but get sad.
I truly missed him and I wondered how long I should stay before I went back home to be with him I knew that it wasn't possible for him to hate me or break up with me because of the bond, he also couldn't possibly reject me now because we had been bonded, we had done the mating ritual and he'd already marked me.
He might be mad at me right now but I had to believe that his anger would subside in a few days.
After my meal, I had Hugo drive me out but it was just so sad because everywhere I went reminded me of him.
As we went back home I tried to call him again and this time my call went through but he did not pick up his call, I tried to text him and the text went but he wasn't replying to any of them.
I felt a bit better because at least he had unblocked my number but I was still sad that he wasn't responding to my calls or messages.
I did not hear anything from Von for the rest of the day and when I was tired I decided to go back to the hotel to rest.
I decided to inform Zara that I was still around and I called her when I got back to the hotel.
"Hey girl." She laughed when she picked up the phone immediately.
"Hi Zay." I chuckled and she laughed again.
I had not called her Zay in a long time.
"What's wrong dude, you sound sad?" She asked.
"I am sad, Zay, Mason left me in New York." I told her.
"What?" She asked.
"I mean is that even possible, why did he leave you and where are you?" She asked, her voice full of concern.
"Oh no, he left me at the hotel and he's paying for everything, he even left me his credit card, I'm fine, he got mad at me because he found out that I was using birth control pills." I confessed to her.
"Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that, how are you doing?" She asked.
"I'm fine but I just miss him so much, he's not picking my calls or replying to my texts." I said and started crying again.
"Oh dear, don't cry, he probably just needs some space, just give him some time, besides I'm sure he doesn't need that much time, he'll soon be begging for you to come back home."
"Thank you, Zay, I love you."
"I love you too, Jay."

[Mason]
"Why are you doing this to yourself?" Sirius asked me.
I was feeling excruciating pain and I was getting worse, my body was so hot and the pain in my chest was so great, I was finding it difficult to talk.
"I'll just call her and tell her to come back." He said, grabbing my mobile phone from the table.
"No." I screamed and then began to ground my teeth in pain.
Adrien was literally trying to tear out of my body and I was trying to hold him down, the first day he'd been pissed at his mate so he was okay with staying away from her, the second day her scent around the room and on her things could keep his sane but by the third day, he was already going crazy and he wanted to go and find her.
Of course I wasn't going to let him, hence the pain I was feeling, he couldn't stand being so far away from his mate for so long and I understand him too because I missed her like crazy but Jade had hurt me a lot of times and I just wanted her to feel an iota of that pain.
My anger towards Jade had dissipated significantly but now it was a thing of pride, I wanted to see how long it would take for her to come running back home to be with me.
I'd been hiding out in my office since morning because I wasn't doing so great and I didn't want anyone to know especially Liya, she would call Jade to come home and I really didn't want her to do that.
"You're hurting yourself, Mason, don't do that to yourself." Sirius said and put the phone into my hands.
"Call her." He urged me before turning around and leaving the room. He could not bear to see me in so much pain but since I was not willing to get any help, there was nothing he could do about it.
