[Jade] It was said that the Priestess' twin sister made a deal with the devil for power though that part is quite confusing since witches are descendants of the devil but she began to practice more powerful spells by drawing power from other elements. She began to sacrifice animals for power and then when she began to sacrifice people her sister could no longer take it and she was banished. She took some of the black-eyed witches who were tired of being the omega of the coven with her and they started the first cult. When she got strong enough, she went back to the palace and murdered her own twin sister, she wiped away the bloodline of her sister and she ordered every white-eyed witch to be killed at birth. During her reign as Great Priestess, she spread fear among the other witches and she continued her barbaric act of sacrifices, she encouraged the powerful to oppress the weak and the whole kingdom broke out into chaos. Eventually, some of the witches couldn't take her oppression anymore and they rebelled against her since there were no more white eyed witches, the next rank of powerful witches were the green eyed ones and many of them were revolted by the barbaric acts of their new Priestess. A war broke out and after a long while, the evil Priestess was defeated, her entire family and followers were killed and the use of dark magic was abolished. The witches did not trust each other enough to form a single coven so they broke out into different covens and they traveled far away from each other to start their lives anew, before separating, they took an oath not to fight amongst themselves. Over the years, the oath was converted into a peace treaty, and ever since then, the covens did not fight with each other again. There were however rumors that the evil Priestess had a daughter who had escaped when her family was being slaughtered and she had gone on to continue her mother's legacy in the shadows but no coven had been brave enough to seek her out. The circle witches had been part of a cult and they had used dark magic to enhance their powers, they had also committed all sorts of atrocities from the information on the scroll. Their breaking point had been the execution of my great grandmother's family, when they were ordered to kill Jee who at that time was still a little child, they knew that they had to stop whatever madness they were practicing and that was why they ran away and hid the child, saving her from danger. It all made sense to me now and I understood it all, if indeed it was the cult that was after the wolves then the witches would know something about it. "Do you want to tell me the truth?" I asked them angrily. "What are you talking about, dear." Mother yellow was trying to patronize me. "I found the scroll in the library," I told them and they all gasped looking at me in shock except for mother black who was just shaking her head. "That doesn't mean anything." Mother tallest argued, turning her back at me. "It means everything." I went into a rage and yelled at her. "You must know why the cult is after the wolves and how we can find them or stop them." "Stop yelling." Mother blue glared at me. "We were excommunicated from the cult a long time ago and if we step foot anywhere near them, we would be killed immediately." "And as to why the cult would be after the wolves, whoever knows why they do what they do." Mother green said. "We were never really part of the cult, we were the young division, we were being groomed to be full cult members but we never graduated because we didn't kill the child and we never knew the leaders or anything like that, we only knew the recruiters." Mother beauty explained. "Does she know about this?" I asked them. Jee would be so disappointed if she knew that they had once been involved with dark magic. "The person who attacked the circle, the one whom Jee went against that almost killed her and is the reason why she is not here today, that was dark magic right, you all knew all along why the person had come didn't you?" I asked them when they looked at me silently. "Jee might be more experienced than you but you're way more powerful and smarter than she was." Mother blue said. "We took care of her to the best of our abilities, we gave up our lives for her, the attacker was a product of dark magic indeed but it wasn't after us, it was after an ancient magical relic we had hidden here." "I'm sorry." I apologized calmly. "I have no right to judge you for your past actions, I was just upset because you keep hiding things." "Whatever we hide, it's for your own good, you might be the most powerful witch alive today but don't forget that an even more powerful witch was killed using dark magic, it is an act to be feared greatly." Mother yellow said. "What are we going to do now?" I asked sadly. "You all heard what the man said, I'm thinking we find them and take the fight to them first or at least figure out a way to end whatever rivalry is between us." "The man doesn't know much, what he told you, he said because he was under the influence of dark magic when I said he was using again, dark magic is very easy to get addicted to, the feeling of that unfamiliar power flowing through your veins and then it becomes a drug, without it, one might start to lose their original power." Mother black explained. "So you're saying what he said was gibberish?" I asked her. "No, what she's saying is that it's not credible and there's no way to confirm that or find that out again, the man in his normal mind would not know anything about that." Mother tallest explained. "What I think you should do is work on gathering allies, if you have the majority of the witches by your side then you will be notified immediately if anybody gets wind of any suspicious activities and you can rest assured that the witches would fight beside you should anything happen." Mother beauty added. "You also need to work on your relationship with your mate, they would find the weakest link and try to exploit that, make sure that there are no problems between you two." Mother blue suggested. "Thank you all very much, I appreciate your bits of advice, my mate is currently at the Blackners camp and from there he will move to the council, he's going to work on gathering allies," I told them. "The Blackners are great people and they will support you for real but the council, some of them are really biased and they hold unnecessary prejudices against the wolves so they might be difficult, also you must never go to them because she of them are still power-hungry and if they know of the power you possess then, they will try to take it from you." Mother green warned. *** Everything I learned from the circle was pretty vague and I still had no idea who was after the wolf pack, I was getting tired and restless so I decided to return back to the human world before Mason returned. I said goodbye to the witches and just as quickly as made my way there, I arrived in my world. I was at the same cliff I teleported from and I smiled at the sun, it felt good to feel the warmth of the sun on my face after a lot of days. I ran back to the pack and immediately found Liya. "You're back, welcome." She smiled and hugged me. "How was the pack, hope there weren't any problems, did anything happen, is anyone hurt?" I rambled out. "Why don't you go inside and rest." Liya smiled softly at me. "The Alpha is not yet back and everything is just the way you left it." "Thank you." I heaved a sigh of relief and ran inside. "Luna, you're back!" Nana exclaimed when she saw me. "Oh Nana, I missed you," I told her and she smiled at me. "You missed me or you missed my cooking?" She asked teasingly. "Both, I missed both." My grin widened. "Jade, you're back." Jay rushed forward and gave me a big hug. "Wow, somebody really missed me." I teased him and laughed softly. "You look fine, are you fine, I hope you are fine, those witches didn't hurt you, did they?" Jay blurted out nervously. Let's just say it runs in the blood. "I'm fine, Jay," I told him and he nodded after assessing me from head to toe. "You look tired, you should take a rest." "Yes, my Luna, come with me. I'll prepare a bath and I've made some food," Nana said. "Okay," I told them and went with Nana. I was so tired because I had just up a lot of power for teleporting and I needed to recharge. I took a long bath and ended up sleeping in the tub, that's how tired my muscles were. I had another strange dream while I was asleep in the tub. Someone was chasing me or maybe something, I couldn't tell, I just kept on running and screaming, it was dark, it was pitch dark and though I was a witch with magic, I couldn't see anything, I tried a luminescence spell but it didn't work. "Jade, stop, stop running away from me." I heard the person yell but I couldn't stop, I was so terrified I just wanted to get away from the person. I hit my leg on something and then I stumbled and fell to the ground, I looked behind me and a flash of light shined across the person who was chasing me. It was Mason. Before I could think about why I was running from my own mate, I woke up in the bath, my head was underwater and I came up quickly, gasping for breath. Nothing about this strange dream made any sense whatsoever to me. . . (Unknown) "Why has nobody got any information for me?" I screamed loudly at the incompetent fools before me. "Mother, I'm so sorry, she hasn't been to work for a while now and I haven't been able to reach her," Dinai said bowing slightly before me. Dinia was my daughter, my only remaining child after my son had been taken away from me by the cold hands of death. This was one of the times I felt helpless, the dark magic couldn't even save my son. "You have never failed me before Dinai, what is going on?" I asked her, helping her to rise up from the floor where she was bowing. "Don't you ache with the thirst for vengeance, don't you want your brother to finally have peace in the great beyond?" I whispered in her ear as she stood up. Dinai hated letting me down and that was one of her weaknesses, a weakness that I exploited many times. "I'm so sorry mother, I promise to return with information next time." She promised me with teary eyes. I believed her. Before I could respond the door burst open and some of the guards came in dragging a man with them. "What is the meaning of this?" I asked them, enraged that they had disrupted my meeting. Black flames erupted from my fingers and I glided them over each finger threateningly. "I'm sorry your highness, your great priestess." They bowed down to me in fear. "Speak," I yelled at them angrily. "We found this man, he says he has very important information to share and all he wants in return is a fix." They said fearfully. I smiled and then laughed a full belied laughter, I like the smell of their fear. "He does?" I started. "Then you should have led with that."
