Sera's Point of View He was taller than I'd expected. Way taller. Had to be at least six-three, maybe more. Broad shoulders that filled out his dark grey shirt in a way that made my mouth go dry. The suit jacket made him look powerful—not in the scary way from the cave, but in a way that commanded attention. Respect. He looked older than me. Not by much, maybe five or six years? But there was something about him that felt mature. Settled. Like he knew exactly who he was and what he wanted. And right now, he was staring at me. My heart was doing this painful hammering thing.
