** MAX’S POV **
I went out to play in the garden area of my father’s mansion with my friends as I saw Eva talking Uncle Leo and another man who supposedly is Eva’s friend.
My stomach growled reminding me of my hunger so I got back inside the party and tried to look for Eva who was nowhere to be found. I walked up to dad “Dad, where is Eva?” I asked him. Dan looked at me “She has gone back to her house with her friend Max. What is it? You can tell me buddy!”
“I am feeling hungry dad. Eva was supposed to wait for me as we decided to have dinner together because she always feeds me!” I said feeling sad that Eva left me and went away without even bidding me goodbye.
Dad crouched down to his knees “Hey buddy why don’t I feed you for a change?” he said.
