** EVA’S POV **
I went to Dan’s house with my mind made up on never being as vulnerable as I did. Max was sitting in the living room drawing in his coloring book “Someone seems to be very busy!” I said as I stood behind him “EVA!” he yelped as he got scared of my sudden appearance.
“You scared the hell out of me” he said as he hugged me tight. “Sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you so bad Max” I said as I hugged him tight in return to console him.
‘I have decided to not let Dan affect me like before so I need to stick to it and make sure I am not close to him and it’s better I talk to Max about working in John’s restaurant as a dessert chef because that is my passion and my love’. “Max would you like it if people will talk about how good the desserts I cook are?”
