After our showers, Jameson and I both couldn’t wait to get back to our mate. I walked into the dining room slightly ahead of him, where Chris was still talking with the other ladies. She had stood up to go” throw something away, so she had her back to the doorway. I came up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, lifting her off the ground as I swung her around. She turned in my arms to smile up at me as she wrapped her arms around my waist.
“You’re lucky I caught your scent right before you grabbed me,” she said with a laugh. “You might have caught a fist to the face if I hadn’t.”
I laughed. “So you’re telling me I have a vicious mate?” I teased her.
