ARTEMIS stirred as a breeze whispered through the forest pines, brushing her cheek with the scent of earth and morning light. She blinked, her lashes heavy with sleep, and the first thing she saw was… Theo. He was sitting next to her on a fallen log, with his cloak wrapped over her shoulders. The surrounding forest was serene, bathed in silver sunlight. A lush grass surrounded her. Birds flitted overhead. Everything felt… too silent. “What happened?” she whispered. Theo offered her a waterskin. “You tell me. I found you here, curled up in the clearing just before dawn.” Artemis frowned, confused by what Theo had said, and she accepted the water. “I don’t remember coming here.” Her brows furrowed. “I was in my cabin.
