Chapter 111 - Cards On The Table

2060 Words

LIAM'S POV I never really paid much attention to how many things have “Crescent Falls” printed on them. But driving through our quaint little town, those two words are everywhere. We are in the backseat of Aldric’s car, and I kiss her every time I see a placard with our town name plastered on it. Not that I mind, I could kiss her every minute of every day for the rest of my life. But I hate deceiving her. After all the lies her dad has told her, I am just one more asshole who is “protecting her” by keeping the truth from her. Once we pull down the gravel path that leads to the pack house, I am hit with a thousand different emotions. Joy, because I am bringing my mate home. Regret, that I have lied to her. Fear, because, and as soon as we get into my room, I have to tell her the truth.
