Clay gave me an evil grin and said, “So, think you’re so good on the defence? Let’s see how good you really are.”
I watched as he morphed into his large brown and white wolf. As soon as he had fully shifted into his wolf form, he ran towards me.
“Let me take over. I’ve got this. I promise,” Midnight told me.
I let her take over and she jumped out of the way of Clay’s charge. Once Clay was passed us, Midnight turned towards him. She started running at Clay and jumped into the air, shifting into our wolf form in midair. As soon as our feet touched the ground, I heard the gasps of the people watching us. I knew they were admiring our rare colouring.
Clay was running towards us again, but he stopped in his tracks at the sight of us, a look of uncertainty came over him. Midnight ch
