The room was so big, Carrie thought as she walked in. It was bigger than her cabin. She couldn’t believe she had it to herself. A large bed took up most of the space. On the left there was a door that she assumed led to the en suite bathroom. It was beautiful, she thought, suddenly feeling all sad and not as excited as she was when she came. Carrie picked up her bags from the door, and dropped them beside the bed. She sat down on the bed and pulled her knees to her chest.
Why did he have to be here? she asked herself as she thought of Maverick. She came here because she wanted to get away from everything that happened to her, and everything that was happening to her. She thought she could take a moment to just be free of everything, and then she could come back to it all.
