The bus came to a sudden halt, stripping me from my unrested sleep. I slowly rubbed my eyes, looking around, as all the passengers starting picking their things up and walking to the door of the bus. I too, slowly got up when I realized that we had reached my town, Larkinge. It was now early morning, and birds chirped delightfully, the happiness and freshness of the air completely opposed to the sea of darkness inside of me. I instinctively checked my phone, a small part of me hoping that there would be a call from Axel or Stefan, but there was nothing, and I felt my heart sink further into the depths of misery, imagining what I would do if Axel was indeed dead, thinking of the countless possibilities. I really wished that Axel would survive his wound, I had fallen for him, after all. But
