I woke up to the sound of silence and calm, my mind feeling slightly relaxed than earlier, although there was a slight headache. Headaches are way more lenient than heart aches, and given the number of heart aches I'd been feeling recently, a headache seemed like a luxury. I slowly opened my eyes, by gradual degrees, not wanting the sudden light to blind me and enhance the throb I felt in my head. As expected, I was in a hospital bed. My family was too overprotective and concerned to just spray some water on my face and wake me up themselves, especially when I returned with a cut on my palm, and a tear-stained face.
