"I don't know how to tell her now, Irene," I muttered, rubbing my temples with my free hand. "She's gonna hate me for keeping a secret from her. I--I only wanted the best, but now everything will fall apart. I'm afraid if she finds out that I had known, she will never speak to me again."
"Hey, relax," Irene said over the phone. "It's not really a big deal, in my opinion. It's not like you knew their location and didn't tell her. All you knew was that it wasn't the Beasts of Helmfirth. It wouldn't have done her any good knowing."
"Yes, but--"
"You knew?"
