Venus was surprised they’d only had to wait ten minutes before a sleek car bearing Malcolm’s insignia pulled up. She was further surprised when Simon stepped out as well as Justin. A quick glance at Hunter revealed he was as surprised as her, judging by his reaction.
Justin shrugged as they neared where Venus still sat on the bench.
“I was with Simon when you called, so he decided to tag along,” Justin explained before either of them could verbalize their question.
Unspoken was that Justin more than likely had no choice in whether or not Simon came along. Simon was Malcolm’s right hand for a reason.
“I just hope you can keep your mouth shut, because Miss Clumsy here doesn’t want Malcolm to know,” Hunter muttered so only Justin could hear.
