It has been two weeks since Lisa went home for her holiday.
She had been talking to Adrian through phone calls and sometimes they face timed, she was glad.
As for Lydia ,love was blooming. They say Aiden saved her from the club,they spent the night at Aiden's house .
Maybe just maybe Aiden had decided to change for Lydia, he had proved to be the best boyfriend ever.
Lisa and Lydia had planned to look for jobs during the long holidays so as to avoid being idle. They were still job hunting although Lisa's grandma has suggested she stay at home, since everything was well taken care of.
It was on a lazy Saturday afternoon, Lisa was on the balcony, her headphones on her head playing her favorite playlist.
Her phone started to ringing, "faded" by Allan walker came through and Adrian's name flashed up on the screen
" Hey babe what's up?"
"Hey pretty I miss you"
" I miss you too"
"When I'm I gonna set my eyes on you again, you know it has just been two weeks and I feel like it's been two months already" Adrian said and Lisa chuckled
" Well I also wanna see you but then we're far"
" But babe from kisumu to Nairobi ain't that far, you can come, I'll take care of the expenses"
" I'll think about it Adrian, plus I was still job hunting, you know just sitting in the house is proving to be a hard task to me"
" That's why I want you to come, we can do a lot of things ,and you know I can cheer you up"
" I know , so how's you found, how's your family by the way"
" We all good and by the way I have an idea I don't know if you'll accept but I hope you do"
"Ooh it depends with what kind of an idea it is, tell me about it"
" We going for a vacation as a family"
" Ooh that's good , so how do I come in?"
" Relax, I want you to accompany me"
" Wow, how's that even possible?"
" It's possible only if you agree to come with me, plus I want to introduce you to my parents and my family?" Lisa seemed hesitant for a while before she found her voice, she was not sure if that's what she actually wanted or if she was ready to meet Adrian's parents
"Okay I'll think about it"
" Okay babe I hope you agree, I miss you"
" Well let's see if things will work out for me"
" Of course they will come on"
"And where are you going for the vacation and for how long?"
" Ooh we going to Seychelles and it'll take only one week, dad and mom will travel back for work and leave us there,we can. Extend it to two weeks"
" Wow that's good, I'll talk to Ray first I know grandma has no problem with that"
" Who is Ray?"
" My elder brother sorry"
" Ooh okay , talk to him and the keep me posted"
They agreed on waiting for her brother's response
Ray was back so it was not hard convincing him to let her go with Adrian to Seychelles. She waited until after dinner when everyone else was seated in the living room.
" By the way Ray, I wanna go out next week"
" And by going out what do you mean?"
" Adrian invited me to go out on a vacation with his family"
" And who is Adrian?" Ray ceased his brows at her
" My boyfriend"
Everyone else in the house laughed except for Ray, he was still wondering how his kid sister had grown into such a pretty and mature girl, he had been too busy with work and never bothered to talk to her. Lisa was embarrassed but she was still determined Ray would permit her,she wanted to spent sometime with Adrian .
She couldn't read Ray's expression from his emotions less face, she wasn't sure if he was angry, sad , happy or disappointed but then she was almost turning twenty-one so having a boyfriend was not a sin.
Her grandmother decided to break the silence.
" Princess you never told me about this boy, is he treating you well?"
" Yes grandma Adrian is a good guy"
" Lisa, I know I've not been close to you as your elder brother for a while because of works here and there but I want you to know that I care for you and I would support you in anything, you're growing into a mature and responsible lady so I want you to do one thing for me, always be sure if something before taking action, and always keep yourself safe, the world ain't safe out there, I what you to be successful, remember we promised never to fail dad?"
The words got the good part of her, and she realized it's been long since she had a moment with her brother, at least he wasn't mad at her but he only advised her
" Thanks brother, I'll make sure of that, now I'm I allowed to go?" She asked with a puppy face
" If course kiddo, but one thing, it'll be strictly for one week"
" But Ray, the vacation is scheduled to take two weeks"
" Okay then be careful my sister, where is the vacation supposed to be anyway?"
" In Seychelles"
"Wow they family is that rich huh" Roy said rather excited
" I don't know Roy, I've never been there"
" Okay guys, I permit you Lisa but then take care if yourself and please remind me to talk to that Adrian if yours, if he dares to break your heart I'll deal with him, I'll literally snap his head from his neck, pass my regards"
" Jeez Ray, I hope you don't mean every word you just said"
" Of course I do Lisa, no one messes with my family and goes unpunished, I'll deal with him"
" Princess we need to talk" her grandma told her immediately Ray left hot his room
" Of course grandma"
Lisa followed her grandmother to her bedroom, she knew she had a long lecture ahead.
" Lisa, I've seen you grow up and all I can say is that you've grown into such a beautiful woman z more mature and responsible, I want you to be responsible whenever wherever, you're over eighteen now and you're bound to making your own decisions, so as you go for that vacation behave and remember you're with his family ,the people you should impress,his parents to be precise, don't be a big baby, I never brought you up like that, and second thing always be safe, we don't want you getting pregnant before you graduate"
" Thanks grandma, I'll make sure I do that I can never fail you,and I'm sorry I've been good secretive I never told you about Adrian"
" No it's okay princess I understand, now I know, so where does he come from"
" Adrian is a Kikuyu from Kiambu county but they stay in Karen in Nairobi"
" Well I hope he's treating you good, you deserve happiness"
" Of course granny"
They continued chatting before her grandma felt dizzy and decided to rest.
Lisa closed the door behind her as she walked out and walked into her room which was just adjacent.
She changed and texted Adrian about the good news before she finally slept.
