(18)The real devil's incarnate

It was almost time, time was moving rather quick.
Ray had just traveled outside the country for a business trip. It was just Roy, her Grandma, Maria and herself. Lisa was really excited not only to be with Adrian but finally meet his family.
She was seated on her bed reading her novel, Lisa was a good addict and she hoped that one day she would write her own story rather than reading other people's work daily.
It was on a Sunday late afternoon, they had just gotten back from church and after taking their lunch she decided to pass some time in her room.
She just stared at her book absently,her mind was somewhere else, she let her mind travel fancifully into her previous days with Adrian.
Adrian had been nothing but a double blessing to her, the trips the hiking, swimming they even went to party together, they spent most of the time together, and ever since day one Lisa's heart was connected to Adrian's, she had finally found her true love, her perfect ideal kind of a man.
Stemming out those thoughts and memories out of her mind she threw her book on the bed and settled for her phone, she took her headphones from the nightstand and connected them to her ears, she chose her favorite playlist and adjusted the volume.
She was going through her several photos, some which she was with Adrian, some funny moments and she smiled stupidly.
She had Adrian's photo on her nightstand, one pic that was her favourite, she bought a beautiful frame for it and placed in her nightstand.
Unknown to Lisa, Lydia was already in her house, she passed by the living room and found Roy with her brother Scott playing videogames.
"Hey Scott, I thought I left you home?" She asked rather bewildered
" Hey there sis please don't interrupt our moments I don't want Roy beating me up in my own game, please just go" Scott said without raising his head from the screen in front of him and Roy chuckled.
" You heard him Lydia, please go join your fellow girl I bet she is bored upstairs"
" You guys suck anyway let me find Lisa"
" We know and so do you" , they shouted back at her and she laughed lightly as she headed for Lisa's room.
She opened the door slowly without making any noise,and peeped through the slightly opened door.
Lisa was so engrossed on the photo frame she was holding in her hands.
Lydia got in and walked slowly up to where Lisa was and she whispered in he ears.
" How are you doing today queen Lisa"
" Ooh my God Lydia you scared me" she screamed back at her looking petrified
" Ooh sorry sweetheart, I didn't mean to scare you but you were so engrossed on that pic u don't think you'd have heard me calling your name"
" There's a door to knock Lydia you gonna give me a heart attack one of this fine coming days" she said still holding her hand on her chest, her heart was beating rather fast.
" Well I'm sorry Lisa can I bring you a glass of water maybe it'll cool you down"
" You so damn funny Lydia, ain't joking though"
" Neither I'm I ,so should I bring you some water it can cool you down you know?" She asked and winked mischievously at her.
" Okay okay Lydia there you go again, bring that damn water and let me be in peace"
" You know I got you sweetheart, at your service my queen"
" You're so annoying " Lisa said amidst her laughter
" And you still chose me fro a Friend that means you like my craziness"
" Please get out of here already"
Lydia laughed so hard as she head out to the kitchen to bring her a glass of water.
Some few minutes later she emerged from the door way with a glass of clean water in her hands, she handed it to Lisa who took a mouthful of it and placed the glass on the nightstand.
" So tell me how's you going and how's the prince charming?" Lisa asked Lydia
The moment she mentioned that, Lydia blushed profusely, she was in love with Aiden
To her it didn't matter how long she had known him but the fact that he made her happy and that's all that mattered to her.
" Oooh someone's blushing so my girl is finally in love , that's so sweet"
" Ooh Lisa shut the f**k up please, you making me blush and what about you, how is Adrian and by the way are you ready for the vacation? And speaking of that how many days till you fly to Seychelles?"
" You're so funny ,a few minutes ago, we were talking about you and Aiden, how you changed the topic and brought it back to me is still a mystery, well Adrian is good, In fact we good, I just wanted you to help me pack and choose a few clothes for the occasion, Adrian told me to carry just a few of them"
" No problem sweetheart you know I'm always here for you and what are we waiting for? Legs get done with this already!"
As they were busy packing her stuffs in one of her travel bags, she let her mind travel back to the previous IMO call they had with Adrian.
He was bare chest with just his shorts on and it was something Lisa liked, seeing him bare chest, it gave her the opportunity to ogle over his abs and the well placed six packs.
" Baby it's not like I'm coercing you to come over, I really want you here , I need you and you know what I miss most?"
"What's that?"
" I miss those luscious lips of yours"
" Don't make me blush, but let me tell you one thing for sure,you ain't forcing me , I Wanna do this with you and for us"
" That's my girl, I love you Lisa"
" I love you too Adrian"
Lydia had been calling her name for like the thousandth time but Lisa was so lost in her own thoughts , it was until Lydia decided to shake her that she brought her mind back to earth
"Lisa! For Christ's sake what's wrong with you?"
" Oh my God I'm so sorry Lydia ,what were you saying I didn't get it"
" Of course you wouldn't have gotten it, first because you were blushing profusely, I wonder what Adrian did to you, you've changed so much girl!"
" Hey I'm sorry I zoned out but please can you repeat what you were saying?"
" Hell yeah I will, but it's good to remember your memories but not when I'm with you next time I'll talk to Adrian, he has bewitched you"
" We call it love honey, and no doubt Aiden has done the same to you, we sailing on the same boat sweetheart, so what were you saying?"
" Don't even mention that, I was asking you if you will prefer the green or.."
Lisa's phone interrupted her while she was still talking and Lisa raised her brows
She took her phone from the stand and checked the caller ID and she frowned
" Hey ain't you gonna pick up that call or what, your face has suddenly changed what's up" Lydia asked rather concerned
" You will not imagine who's calling me at this time of the day?"
" And who's that?"
" The real devil's incarnate"
" And what do you mean by that, I mean who are you taking about?" Lydia asked confused
" Come see for yourself" Lisa asked as she handed her phone over to Lydia
