I was looking at Jonathan who was bleeding profusely from the wound that had been inflicted on his abdomen by the crop that she was still carrying in her hand. Mistress March could be exceptionally cruel when she wanted to be. And right now she was extremely angry. Of course she had reason to be angry. Her daughter in law had been abducted. And she had no idea where she had been taken. Even if Vignette wasn't pregnant it was something that no woman would tolerate.
