-Victoria's POV-
There’s not a speck of dust. Sebastian takes really good care of the place. I wish I could have seen him this time but he was busy. A few days have passed and we are finally at my grams place.
“Do you have the sports channel here?” Parker says sitting on the couch with his feet lifted on the table and looking comfortable as if he was in his own home.
“I don’t think so.” I say.
Holly stands in front of him very sassy with one hand on her hip. “You do know that we are here to find that artifact, right?”
“Yea, and while you do that, I think I’ll take a nap.” Parker says looking at her amused.
She rolls her eyes. “Why are you even here then?”
“I am the muscles, if there’s a brawl then I’ll get my hands dirty.” He gives her a cocky smile.
She sighs.
My old house is big but with all of them here it feels very constricting.
“Alright, well we have to check everywhere. Every single room.” I say.
“How many rooms are we talking about?” Abel asks.
I lock up thinking and with my fingers, I start to name the rooms. “Seven bedrooms, four bathrooms, a parlor, the living room, kitchen, dining room and what else... oh there's a Nursery on the back where grandma used to plant herbs. There is also the attic, basement and... the sunroom. And don’t forget the garden.”
“Haha, good luck.” Parker says.
Zach sighs. “I’ll take the sage and start going through the house to look for anything magical.”
I smile awkwardly. “Yea, there will be a lot of magical items.”
He sighs again. “I figured.”
Everyone disperses and I decide to go to grandmas room first. I see Isaac and Luke head to my room and I roll my eyes.
I start to look everywhere, in the closet, drawers, under the mattress under the bed. I Check the floorboards to see if there's one loose, I even check the small vent on the ceiling but nothing.
“Alright, I guess I’ll head to the attic.” I open the door and am met with Isaac.
He smiles, looks both ways of the hallway making sure no one is coming, and then pushed me back inside the bedroom.
I giggle. “What are you doing.”
He chuckles. “I just want to kiss you.”
I smile putting my arms around his neck and kiss him. He pulls me closer by the hips. His lips are warm and soft. He kisses me softly and gently. His tongue makes its way into my mouth and dances with my tongue.
I pull back and look at him. “It’s a little weird that we are doing this in my grandma's room.”
He sighs. “Yea, your right.”
He looks around. “Sorry grams didn’t mean any disrespect.” He says.
I giggle. “Your silly.”
He smiles and I pull him back into a kiss. After a small make-out session, we start to head out.
“Alright, you want to help me with the attic?” I ask him.
He nods. “Sure.”
We head out and go up the stairs to the attic.
Isaac looks surprised. “How do all these herbs still look fresh.”
“Enchantments.” I say.
“I am here to help.” Marina says in a singing tone coming up the stairs with Nolan behind her.
“So you found nothing?” I ask.
She shakes her head. “Nope.”
Isaac's phone rings. “Sorry love it's Andres.” I nod, letting him know that it’s ok. He takes the call and heads back downstairs.
I look back at Marina and Nolan. “Alright, check everything but be careful with what you open, don’t open anything with the green or black tag-” As I say that Marina opens a jar with a green tag.
With the lid already open and a white powder splashing on her face she looks at me and says. “Oops.”
Nolan freaks out. “What's going to happen to her, what was that powder?”
I take a deep breath and look at her, waiting, and then it starts.
“Achoo!” She sneezes. “...Achoo! Achoo!...” She sneezes nonstop.
“That, my dear Marina, was a simple sneezing powder but it will last for hours nonstop.”
Nolan sighs in relief. “Okay.”
“No, not ok. Take her outside, she will sneeze nonstop so she will probably have a hard time breathing.
He panics again and leads Marina out while she sneezes over and over unable to talk. Zach comes up passing by them. “What happened to her?"
I sigh. “Told her not to open something and what does she do?”
“Opens it?” Zach asks with an eyebrow up.
I nod. “Yep.”
He smiles and shakes his head.
“So I assume this is the spell and potion room?” He says looking around.
“Yea.” I say.
He takes the sage and goes around the room and of course, almost everything here gets covered in the sage smoke.
He skips everything that is obvious and keeps walking. We see that the smoke goes to a corner of the wall that is bare. There’s nothing there. We look at each other knowing that this is probably it.
“Angurgapi Ta’u” Zach chants.
A six feet mirror materializes in the wall.
“A mirror?” We look at each other and smile.
Taped to the side of it, there is a photo of me when I was little.
"Is that you?" Zach asks taking the photo.
I nod. "Yea, looks like I was around four or five."
The picture has something written on it. "My sunshine." I read it softly, making my heart feel tight and my eyes water.
I look back at the mirror. “Mirrors are used as portals, right?” I ask Zach touching the mirror. It is completely solid.
“Yea. But it all depends on how to open them. Either with magic, which is the easy way or a key but then we have to find the key.
We step back and he chants. “Perth kano.”
But nothing happens.
He chants a different spell. “Daltu Perth.”
He sighs but tries again. “Daltu Tau... Kano?”
I frown looking at a keyhole that appears from nowhere on the side rim.
He chuckles finding it amusing. “You need a spell and a key.”
I growl in frustration. We head downstairs to the others in the living room. Marina is still outside with Nolan but Isaac walks into the living room looking like he has news.
“The Blood Thorn pack is destroyed." He says.
“What?” I am shocked.
“How?” Luke asks.
He shakes his head. “I don’t know but... everyone is dead. Even the women and children.”
“Did another pack attack them?” Parker asks.
“That’s the weird part, they were all found lying on the ground lifeless and pale but not one of them had a single scar or wound. They all looked like they just dropped dead.” Isaac stands with his arms crossed and looks to the floor, thinking.
“They were helping that Endora witch, right?” Abel asks and we all nod. “Maybe it was her.” He says.
We all stay quiet thinking for a while. Isaac goes outside to talk on the phone again.
I look at everyone. “Ok well, now we are looking for a key.” I say getting up.
“What does it look like?” Holly asks.
“No idea, just bring down every single key you find.” I say then I run and jump on Luke's back. He quickly holds me chuckling.
“You, mister, are going with me to the basement because I am not going down there alone.” I say.
He smiles. “Okay babe, I’ll protect you.”
I give him a kiss on the cheek satisfied and then we head down.
“Geeze, this is another house down here with how big this is.” Luke says.
“Yea I've always hated it down here. There are halls that are almost like mazes. I got lost one day when I was little and since then I never came here alone.”
He laughs and puts me down.
“Alright, stay close to me... seriously, don’t leave me alone.” I say and he laughs again.
“I won’t baby.”
We start walking around and looking through things and start to talk.
“How are you feeling? You’ve only been back in your body for a day.” He says.
“I’m ok, I feel normal.”
“How was it having Archion in control of your body? Because from our side it was not pleasant. He was always moody.” He says.
I giggle. “Sounds like him. But I did realize something."
“What?” He asks.
“He actually likes you guys.” I say.
He looks at me not believing me at all.
I nod my head. “He does. He is the kind of being that if you are not worth his time, he won’t even bother with you. That’s how proud he is. He would just ignore you, and I saw him interacting with you guys all the time.” I say.
Luke looks up deep in thought. “Mh. I guess everyone shows affection differently.”
“True.” I smile and pull him towards me kissing him. He is startled but then kisses me back.
“This is how I show my affection.” I kiss him again.
“It better be to me only... well, and Isaac.” He mumbles annoyed at the last part.
I smile and nod.
He looks to the stairs and then back at me.
“We are completely alone here.” He says wiggling his eyebrows.
“Yea, we are.” I say seductively looking into his light brown caramel eyes.
He gives me that beautiful smile of his that I can't resist and I know, we are having a quickie in my creepy basement.
