Chapter Sixteen

1702 Words
-Isaac POV- I am so irritated, angry, pissed! (This is the second day without Victoria by my side. That dragon looks like her and his voice sounds like her but he acts completely different.) I lie on my bed and sigh. My wolf is aching for her. A knock on the door takes me from my thoughts. “Yea?” I shout. “The headmaster is calling us to continue that conversation.” I hear Luke say. I sigh but get up and head out. The three of us head to the headmaster's office to find all the same people there. “Ok so trapping Endora, that’s where we left off, right?” The headmaster asks. “Yes, and I have what we need in this book.” Zach says. Zach opens the book to a page with an image of a white crystal with two golden hands holding it. “This artifact is called "the Bankrystat" or the white crystal in English. The crystal itself is legend to be made by the gods. Inside it is an endless space where whatever goes in can’t ever come out again. The bad part is that no one knows where it is. No one has ever-” The headmaster interrupts Zach with his laughter. We all stare at him confused. He laughs as if Zach had made a joke. “Well spit it out old man.” Marina says as we all wait for him to compose himself. The headmaster takes a deep breath. “Sorry, it’s just... the way things work in this world astonishes me still.” He stops and looks at all of us. “I know of the last location of that artifact.” “Where?” Zach asks amazed. A dear friend of mine used to collect magical artifacts and I’m not talking of the kind of artifacts we have here. I mean real artifacts that could crumble an entire planet. She kept them safe, hidden away from those that would use them for evil intentions.” “Does she still have it?” Mrs. Adams asks. “I, have no idea.” He says pausing. “Can we ask her then?” She asks. He gives a bittersweet smile and shakes his head. “She died a couple of months ago.” He says and looks at Vic... well, at Archion. “Your grandmother.” He says. “Victoria is expressing shock.” Archion says crossing his arms nonchalantly. (I really hate this. I want her back already.) The headmaster nods. Yea, I had a feeling she didn’t know of her grandmother's extracurricular activities.” “Then... what do we do now?” Nolan asks. “Victoria suggests going to her home where her grandmother lived and see if we can find clues.” Archion says and then looks at Zach. “Also, she wants you to have a look at her grandmother's grimoire. Maybe there is something there.” Zach jumps excitedly. “Yes! I would love to.” He looks blissful, like a child in a candy store. “The grimoire of the Winters witches. This is, this is... heaven!” Marina laughs uncontrollably. “What a nerd.” I stare at Zach ready to sucker punch him if he keeps being so damned weird. We plan the excursion to Vic's home for two days from now. We hope that by then she’ll be back in control of her body. “So where is this book?” Zach asks. “Upstairs in Vic's room.” Luke says. We walk out of the office and meet with Parker, Holly, and Abel who wait expectantly. As we walk back upstairs to our room we tell them of the meeting but suddenly Archion stops. He turns around and then sprints towards me and jumps on me straddling me, I look at him shocked. “What the fu-” He cuts me off when his lips crash on mine. I can feel everyone staring at me. “What the f**k?” Parker whispers. I push Archion away and he starts giggling. “W-what the hell is wrong with you dude?” I ask still shocked. He finally stops giggling and smiles. “It’s me, I’m back.” He says. I squint my eyes at Vic and see her blue eyes are back. My eyes go wide. “Vic?” Vic nods smiling. I don’t even wait for a second, I pull her head from behind towards me, locking our lips together. I need her mouth as if it was the only oasis in a desert. She starts to push and hit my chest. “Oh! Oh! Get off me! Get off me!!” She shouts. “What?” I stare at her and see that her eyes are back to gold. “Mother fucker!!” I shout and let him go. “Damn this atrocity!!” Archion shouts wiping his mouth. Everyone starts laughing except for Luke who looks disappointed but I am pissed. “What happened.” Luke asks. “She was able to take control but it was too much for her.” Archion says. Marina, Nolan, Holly, Abel, and Parker are doubled over still laughing. “Most likely by tomorrow she’ll be able to do it.” Zach says wiping a stray tear off of his face. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. (I hate this.) I stump my feet all the way upstairs. After everyone gets here and I calm down a bit, me and Luke go through Vic's things to find the book. Once we do, we hand it to Zach. He takes it like is a precious baby. I roll my eyes watching his stupid reaction. He places it on the table and takes a deep breath before opening it. It takes him all damned day to read the thing. He finally closes it and we all get up. Some of us were already asleep on the couch and floor. “So?” Luke asks. He shakes his head. “Nothing about the white crystal but there were spells there that I have never seen before. “His eyes shine as he says that. I squint my eyes at him. "And we waited hours for that answer?" He shrugs his shoulders. "Can't help it, I didn't find a thing." Luke sighs. “I guess we just have to hope that we’ll find answers at Vic's house.” Everyone leaves and then we head to bed. I hate nights now. Not having her with me at all makes me restless. Regardless of that, I end up falling asleep. -Lukes POV- I toss and turn unable to get any shut eye. I sigh. “My Victoria, I want to see you right now.” I whisper. I get up and head to the kitchen to get something to drink. I look into Vitoria's door and I can’t resist it anymore, I haven't slept for days. I don’t care that, that is Archion, I want to have her body in my arms. I carefully and quietly open the door and immediately, I am able to make out Vic on the bed peacefully sleeping. (He’s going to kill me when we wake up but I don’t care.) I quietly make my way to the bed and lie next to her. Little by little, I scoot closer to her. When my hand touches hers, her body turns to me and wraps me in her arms. She is still asleep and mumbling something incoherent. I take her scent in and I love it. She still smells like herself. My eyes close and finally fall into a deep sleep. I wake up to the sun hitting my eyes and I immediately know that I am in trouble. I am completely wrapped up In Vic's embrace. But I know it’s not her. Her eyes stir and slowly open. Those menacing golden eyes come into view. “Oh, crap.” I whisper. The golden eyes peer at me and my stomach turns. Archion's face turns stern cold. “You, little-” I don’t let him finish, I get up and run out of the room like my life depends on it. “Come back here!! I, AM, FREEZING YOUR ASS RIGHT NOW!!!” Archion shouts growling. I know I am in deep s**t. I am met with Isaac who is preparing coffee looking like he didn’t get an ounce of sleep. He looks at me and rolls his eyes. “What the hell did you do?” I smile awkwardly not wanting to talk about it but then I duck sensing something flying over my head. One of Vic's shoes hits the wall and the heel lodges on it. Archion gets to the door and stands there holding the rim on each side looking like he is possessed. Isaac sips his coffee staring at us. “I think this is the part where you apologize for being a creep.” He says at me and sips his coffee again. I know I am screwed. I just pissed off a proud grumpy dragon in a very powerful body and to top it off... he is PMSing. Archion is about to rush to me with murderess intent but abruptly stops and tilts his head to the side. “Are you sure?” He asks looking like he is talking to himself but we know it’s to Victoria. He looks at me and squints his eyes. “Next time, you won't be so lucky.” He says in a chilling voice. Isaac stands next to me and we look at each other hoping that this is what we think it is. Archion closes his eyes and when he opens them, they are blue. “Vic?” I whisper. She looks at us completely alert and smiles. We all rush towards each other and not even Isaac cares that we all hug each other. We both fuss over her. “Are you ok?” “How are you feeling?” She smiles. “I’m ok. I’m here to stay now.” She says. I swear, this feels like the best day of my life.
