I managed to make my way back from the Blood Crescent Pack to my home. Quickly running up to my room, I start to throw all my clothes into a duffel bag to leave.
Checking that I held all the important things like my credit card, some cash and stuff. I run back down and called a cab that should be here in two.
Right now, I couldn't go back to the agency because they think I'm dead. Once you go to a mission and don't come back within eight hours without any signs of communication , you're dead. They freeze your account so no one else can get information about you after the eight hours.
However, in exchange for being a star agent for the pass seventeen years, the agency puts a bunch of fake jobs and experiences on my record. So if I'm still alive, I get to live a good live and easily find a job.
Hell, I don't even need a job anymore ,I got more than enough money to spend until I die.
Grabbing all my stuff , I hop onto the cab and book the fastest leaving flight that will bring me far away.
Soon enough , I passed security and was boarding a nine hour flight to Italy.
Sitting at the window seat, I looked out the window one more time before I shut it for the rest of the trip. I'm leaving behind everything here : my home, my friends, my entire childhood and a crazy mate.
I might consider coming back to him one day. To live the rest of our lives together, but right now, I need to live and breath life. I won't throw my entire future away for some dumb mate. Mates aren't everything .
Feeling my body relax, I closed my eyes to get some sleep. By the time we reached, I've gone in and out of consciousness a few times already. I have also bought an apartment of my taste. Scratch that, I bought a huge penthouse that was ready to be lived in.
When I reached my new home, staff were everywhere. Cleaning, cooking, and caring for my new pet dog that I also ordered for someone to buy. They all greeted me and bowed their heads in respect. I smiled back at them and grinned, I could totally get used to this lifestyle.
My penthouse was two stories high that contained three bed rooms, a big library,an office space, a small pet room, two living rooms and the list goes on. The furniture were mostly gold, silver, bronze ,black and white, but I didn't mind. It looked classy.
I dumped my bag onto the floor and dispersed the staff to let me have some alone time. My puppy ran up towards me and jumped onto my lap, making me giggle. It was a breed of Pomeranian and Huskey. It's fur was snow white with spots of light brown in it and a really fluffy tail.
"What should I name you, my little baby?" I cooed at it and pet its head.
'Ares,' Olivia suggested,' Its the Greek God of War. It'll be cute to call such a small and fluffy pet a war god.'
"Uh, okay?" I replied out loud. Having one of the staff look at me weirdly because she thought that I was talking to myself, and quickly left with the others.
The next day, I got someone to ship my car and the rest of my belongings to Italy. Deciding to keep my house, I leave it empty in case I ever go back.
I put on a hoodie and some comfortable skinny jeans for a walk through the busy city. I've decided not to start working for a few months to just settle in and enjoy this lovely country.
I picked Italy out of so many countries was because I've always liked Italy the most. Out of all my missions that were overseas , I admired Italy the most and because I could speak Italian fluently. Well, I could speak eight languages.
Right before I left my penthouse, there was a knock on the door.
"Hello? Who's there?" I shout, hoping that my voice could be heard from the other side.
"Oh I live downstairs, I was hoping to welcome you here." She shouted back.
I open the door and my eyes widen. "Adriana? " I ask. The unmistakable perfect blue eyes and blond hair.
"Have me met before?"
"Oh its just that I know Salvatore. I'm Olivia." I lie. Well, I didn't actually lie it was my wolf's name. "Hi, so nice to finally meet you in person. I just moved to Italy."
"Oh that's nice, I hope you like it here. And here's some cookies I just baked this morning," Adriana sends me a warm smile and handed me two jars of cookies. I almost drooled at the sight of it.
"Thank you so much, how could I ever repay you for this ?"
"Its okay, its just a simple gesture," she replies.
"No, I insist. Maybe dinner some time?" I ask.
"Sure," Adriana said and waved me good bye before walking into the lift. Her kind smile and warm heart made me feel a little guilty that I almost killed her. How can someone like her be a threat to the agency?
Sighing, I close the door and decided to stay in the rest of the day just eating the cookies she made. Making a mental note to train a little at the small gym I had somewhere on the second floor of my new home. You never know when someone will attack me, because a lot of people want revenge on me for the things I've done.
