I park my car a few miles away from the Blood Crescent Pack's boarder. I look down onto my outfit that I wore to school and thought that this should be enough. Sliding a pocket knife into my boots, I grab a few other types of weapons into my bag. I pop open a compartment in my car and pulled out my masking scent spray to hide my wolf scent, making people think I'm human. Walking with my backpack towards the boarders, three patrollers run towards me. "What are you doing here?" A boy that looked a few years younger than me spoke. I wasn't very tall for a girl at 5" 4 yet he still stood a few inches shorter than me. "I'm here to visit my friend's house. Is that a crime?" I lie while raising an eyebrow. "I'm here for Adriana." I fake a smile and flirtatiously giggle a little. They gave in and brought me past the boarders. "We'll escort you to her," another one said and looked me up and down. His eyes turned black and growled lowly. I took this as a good sign and lean further in to his ear. "You can take me later," I whispered and winked at him. The three of them walked away and I was let into the pack's territory. 'That was easier than expected,' Olivia said. 'Guys will be guys,' I sighed back and slowly made my way towards the pack house. A few wolves gave me curious glances while others just ignored me because they thought that I was human. When no one was looking, I climbed up a tree that was a few feet away from the pack house. The pack house was made of mostly glass so I easily spotted Adriana. The worst case scenario is if I get caught, which I won't because my scent has been masked. I caught the faint scent of woodsy and lavender again making my heart rate pick up. I wasn't ready to see my mate again and I definitely don't want him to catch me killing his sister. Aiming my sniper gun at Adriana, I took a deep breath of my mate's scent that seemed to calm me down. It was alluring and addictive . "What are you doing here?" A deep voice came from behind me. My eyes widen and I screamed, making me fall off the tree. "Ouch," I groaned from the impact of the fall and closed my eyes when I felt my mate's presence. "Are you okay?" Salvatore picked me up and carried me bridal style towards the infirmary. "You better answer all the questions I have," He growled and laid me down onto a bed. I looked around and noticed that it was the Alpha's suite. He barked orders at everyone, while nurses and doctors ran up and down to check my vitals. "She's okay, just a little bump at the back of her head. She'll be able to be discharged tomorrow." The doctor said and walked away, leaving me and Salvatore in the room alone. "Who are you?" He asked and took a seat beside my bed. "I told you I'm Charlotte. How did you find me?" "I do the asking here!" He growled," and I can smell your scent. Using the masking spray won't cover your mate scent." "Oh," I mumble and fiddle with my fingers. "When I asked who are you, I meant what you work as and why are you trying to kill my sister? Don't think I didn't see that." He grumbled. "I'm just a high school girl," I lied and look at him. I was good at lieing but he didn't seem to buy it. He raised an eyebrow at me and sighed. "You're lucky you're my mate. Or else I would've killed you for the answers." He got up and left the door. Leaving me in the silence as my heart monitor beeped in the background. I quickly looked around for any chance of escaping. However, escaping now won't do me any good considering that Salvatore would sniff me out and bring me back here. Will have to create an distraction of fight him myself. Even after waiting for a few hours, Salvatore hadn't come back and I felt myself drifting into the darkness. I woke up at the sound of Salvatore walking back into the room with a file in his hands that contained information about me. Sighing, he took a seat beside me and opened the file. I took a deep breath nervously, waiting for him to spill all my secrets and kill me. "I see that you work to kill people, that's what I do too. You're an orphan but an independent individual, so we're completely the same. You will rule beside me as my Luna and care for my pups." He grinned evilly. "Never. I'll never love you." I spat back angrily. I was ready to pounce onto him to punch him. Remembering that I still had my pocket knife hiding in my boot. He smirked and laughed. That deep husky voice that made me weak in the knees. "It did not seem like that yesterday." I growled and slowly pulled out my knife from under the covers. He smirked and place a hand above mine and pushed it back down. Reaching under the covers , he took the knife away and dropped it into a bin. "Killing me won't do you any do. And your agency already froze your account because they're assuming you're dead. " he smiled and toss the file to a side. Salvatore slowly crawled up the bed and caged me between his arms. "Wh...What are you doing?" I stammered and hid my face in my hair. He started to lower his face until it was inches away from mine. His eyes flickered towards my lips making me bite onto it involuntarily. His eyes turning a darker shade with golden flecks in it. I quietly brought my knee up and kicked him backwards by his chest, making him stumble only a little. In that spilt second, I pounced onto him and punch his jaw twice before tightly tugging onto his shoulder blades, dislocating his arm. He growled angrily and grip me from the back. Muscular arms wrapping around my small frame tightly. Kicking off the bed, I managed to hit him in the head with my head, making him drop me. I quickly break through a window beside the bed and shifted when I realised I jumped out a three floor building. Landing nicely back onto the ground like a cat, Olivia pushed me to go even faster when Salvatore was hot on our trail. He may be the strongest Alpha, but I'm the best assassin.
