“I just want to know, honestly, Shaina.” Zeb’s voice was soft but persuasive.
The widow slowly blinked and swallowed discreetly. “I’m sorry, Zeb.”
The COO scoffed a little, smiling bitterly at her. “Does this mean you chose Vaughn over me?”
“Zeb…”
His face looked stern, and he nodded at her. “I can’t do anything about it, can I?”
Shaina knew he must feel so bitter and hurt at the moment. And yet, she had no idea that Wallace stood adjacent to them, gaze bouncing at her and Zeb, back and forth. The ghost could not seem to believe what he heard.
Is this real or did she just said it just to get rid of Zeb and he’d stop pestering her? Anyhow, it’s good. Still, my wife’s not safe. He’s still planning to get her may it be sooner or later.
