It didn’t take me too long to get ready for the ceremony. My mother and grandmother took careful time to decorate my body with traditional makeup and clothing before we left the room. I have to say that I loved the look. They put temporary dye in my hair to give it a reddish tint, they painted black and red swirls all over my arms, face, neck, legs, and chest, and they even braided my hair before they put the traditional tribe clothes on me. The outfit was beautiful. It was made up of hand painted beads that were all written in the ancient language of Chanticanize in black, red, and gold coloring.
