Adrian’s POV
I was ready to deal with Drake. I had been all morning. I was not going to toy with him. I spoke to Elena this morning. Even though she had said that she was not going to speak to the Council in his favor. She knew that she was the one to push him into it. We did that with intent, so we wouldn’t have to wait for a month or more for him to act. We both wanted to get it over with, and her way of dealing with him worked. A little too well, in fact. It had been at the back of both of our minds that we had forced him to do what he did.
