Fire
Truthfully, I didn't know what I had been thinking when I came down here on my own. Maybe it was my own ego that wanted to do everything her way and actually know something before the know-it-alls. I knew it was stupid trying to play being the hero but I couldn't help it. The fire inside of me burned even more with the adrenaline coursing through my body. It was kind of like an addiction. I needed to feel more of it.
Now that I thought about it, I should have been more careful. I hadn't been thinking correctly. Now, Andrew and I were walking along a dark, mysterious cave that we would have never guessed existed. We kept our steps silent and careful as we walked, looking out for any traps of holes like the one I had almost fallen through.
