Water The drive seemed endless. We had been riding in the car for more than eight hours and the compass was still pointing northeast. I worried it had somehow gotten stuck or that something had happened but Proteus assured me it was alright. "Have you ever used a compass like this?" I asked with a raised eyebrow as I turned to him.
