She didn’t move. I didn’t move except for when I pulled my hand back from her slowly… even though I was tempted to touch her fur. We kept looking at one another and I swallowed nervously. We were practically eye to eye and nose to nose. If she were to have stood to her full height, she would have easily towered over me, but the whole time that I approached and freed her, she had kept her head low.
