"See? I told you he'd be in here."
I open my eyes and looked around to see Kaylin glaring at me with her arms crossed and Micah trying to hold back his laughter. I look down at my mate, who is still curled up in my arms. But she changed positions. She's almost lying on top of me, hugging me, with her head on my shoulder and her nose against my neck.
"I told you not to come in here. We don't know how she will react when she wakes up." Kaylin scolds me.
"Relax, babe." Micah sighs.
"No!" Kaylin yells in a whisper at him. "I want her to get better. This will not make her better," Kaylin says, motioning to Alyssa and me. I look down at my girl in my arms again and feel an immense sense of calmness. Just being able to hold her after so long feels like... the best thing that's
