Ryker's POV
"Yo, Ryker!"
"What?" I growled. It's bad enough that I had to listen to Kaylin and Violet's continuous talking and crying while trying to sleep. But I got to hold Alyssa and smell her delicious scent like I slept some.
"The doctor's here," Micah answered.
I opened my eyes to see Micah leaning against the far wall while Kaylin and the doctor looked at a notebook. "What's going on?" I asked.
The doctor hands the notebook back to Kaylin. "I'm going to do a quick exam on Luna. Ok?" the doctor says, walking over to me cautiously.
My attention focuses on Alyssa. What happened? Why is he acting strange? But Alyssa is sleeping peacefully. She doesn't look scared or upset, and she's breathing normally. What's wrong?
