The next morning, I wake up groggy and feeling like I have been hit by a train. I wish I could lie in bed the whole day but I know that I have to get up.
We have work to do. The sooner we get it done the better. I really don’t want to be here longer than necessary.
I sit up in bed searching for my phone on the bed. I check the time, and then I can see that Luna tried to call me last night.
It must have been when I was in Xavier’s room. I cringe as snippets from last night filter into my mind.
Damn… that was a disaster.
My stomach tightens with dread, at the thought of seeing them. I close my mind, shaking off the feeling as I go to my caller id returning Luna’s call.
It is a little early in the morning, but I hope she will answer and get my mind off everything. Luna
