“Hey, Nithi..” I hear my colleague, Dr. Mugil greet me as she enters the doctor's lounge where I am resting. “..heard you were looking for me..”
“Hey, yeah I was..” I get up from the small couch, stretching my arms. “Ahmm, Mugil, I uhmm actually need your favor..”
Tonight I have my night shift for this week but since Kavin is leaving for Delhi this evening, I don’t want to be stuck up here in the emergency ward. I don’t want to let him go without a proper send-off and so, here I am hesitating to ask this favor from her.
Dropping her stethoscope and coat on the couch, she narrows her one eye at me, “ Let me guess. You want to go home early tonight and want me to cover up for you. Am I right?”
