Chapter 11 I sat on the divan in the parlor while mother and son conferred over a pile of herbs. I didn’t really pay attention to their conversation, my mind still reeling from the new information. And, yeah, I had freaked just a bit at meeting my boyfriend’s mother for the first time. I knew from Wes’s stories that they were close. I wanted to make a good impression, and feared I was failing miserably. “You okay?” Wes asked, his deep voice pulling me out of my thoughts.
