Mackenzie woke up, still laying on the couch but now with a pillow under her head. The sun was shining through the large windows that lined the far wall, overlooking the city. She could tell it was morning but more close to being noon. She sat up slowly, her head groggy from sleeping so soundly to the point where she had not even dreamed. She looked over and noticed a bottle of water on the coffee table with a note lying beside it. She took the bottle and downed the whole thing, her whole body feeling dried out from having cried so much. She picked up the note and recognized Charlie’s handwriting right away. Hello Sleepy Head, I had to go to rehearsal this afternoon and I didn’t want to wake you! My Aunt is out of town on business and my cousin is staying with his friend so I don’t know
