Mackenzie turned into a parking structure, parking her car in the first available spot. She got out, realizing that the bag she had packed for the weekend was still at Daniel’s parents’ house. She sighed and locked her car, walking towards the elevator. She took it to the ground floor and walked next door to a large apartment building. There was security on the bottom floor and she had to tell them who she was there to see before they let her up.
“I’m here to see Ms. Charlotte Hayes.” She said to the security guard.
The guard nodded and then dialed a number on the phone before holding it up to his ear. Someone picked up on the other line and he informed them that Mackenzie was there. After a few seconds, he hung up the phone and then pointed towards the elevators.
“This way, ma’am.” He
