Lylia gaped at Julia sitting in front of her. Did she really say that in front of a best friend? Amira froze for a while as if she was waiting for Julia to laugh it off and Lylia to clear it up.
"It was a joke" Julia laughed out loud while slapping her knee as if it was the funniest thing ever to which Amira nervously chuckled and then looked over at her best friend. It wasn't funny at all. They both thought.
