Chapter 25 Marinel’s POV ANDY and I were both sitting in the waiting area. I had been crying nonstop. Enzo was still inside the ER. “I’m sorry, Nel,” Andy said sadly, crying too. “I should’ve taken better care of him.” He blamed himself. I shook my head and rubbed his back. “No one’s at fault, Andy.” He composed himself and wiped his tears. “I’ll call his parents,” he said and went to the information desk. Then the ER doors opened and the doctor came out. I stood and approached him. “How is he?” My knees were trembling in fear. “He’s stable now, but I’ll be honest. There’s nothing more we can do about his illness. I’m sorry. You can discharge him anytime. Excuse me.” I slumped down in shock. I covered my mouth to muffle my sobs. “Nel…” I looked up. I stood without hesitation and
