“Well I’d say that went as well as it could have…” I say to Aiden with a smile after Jace leaves us alone in the library.
He grins in return and shrugs his shoulders.
“Well your dad didn’t exactly welcome me with open arms but I’ll settle for him being on our side at least”
“He will come around.” I smile at him softly.
“Natalia…”
“Don’t Aiden. I know what you are going to say and I’ll be fine. You trained me well. I’m not a damsel in distress, I promise that I will be careful around Eric.” I reassure him as he looks at me with concern. “Not to mention I have my dad and Jace looking out for me. I’m going to be fine. I’m more worried about you.”
