“Warner … it’s good to see you.” Commander Ella Blackwood smiles as she walks down the corridor towards me.
“Never thought I’d hear you say that, Commander.” I grin in reply.
“Ahh there is a first for everything.” she chuckles, coming to a stop.
“How is retirement treating you?” I ask interestedly.
“Blackstone keeps me busy. Along with the grandkids of course. Although, I guess I should be asking you the same question?” she smiles. “I heard you and Abby have adopted. I’m happy for you both.”
