It was a long time before Daisy was finally calm. Even with how strong she could be, it was important for anyone to break down once in a while, and I was glad this happened in front of me.
Daisy was a stubborn girl. Strong-headed, yes. But also stubborn. The kind of stubborn where she'd do something she makes her mind on, no matter what. So now that she had stubbornly decided that she wasn't broken and nothing in her life was a result of what her parents had put her through as only a little kid, she was going to keep saying it again and again, only I didn't know if she was making me believe or herself. But I let her do that.
I held her for a long time, and let her go only when I was sure she was completely okay and not just pretending to be.
