Nothing significant happened the rest of the week.
Vanessa decided to keep the k********g a secret.
Vanessa came home, as soon as Andrew texted her he won't be able to make it, as she was losing her mind.
Ding
Dong
The bell rang.
Elizabeth glanced at the clock and made her way towards the door.
'Who could be here right now?' She wondered.
She opened the door revealing Lucas.
His face flushed as he saw Elizabeth standing at the door.
Elizabeth shut the door on his face.
'What the hell.' She thought.
'Way to go you just slammed the door on your crush's face.' Her conscience mocked her.
'He is not my crush. Wait why am I talking talking to myself.' She snapped.
'I really should consider hanging a mirror near the front door.' She concluded before opening the door once again.
"Not that your not welcomed here but what are you doing here." Elizabeth questioned Lucas who didn't mind the fact she shut the door on his face.
"I heard Vanessa came back ummmm can I see her." He asked nervously, scratching the back of his neck.
'ha you honestly thought he came to see you how foolish of you he came to see his sister.' Elizabeth thought to herself.
'If he is only here to see his sister why is his cheek red.' She argued back.
'Maybe because he likes her. You know she is not his real sister.'
She quickly shoved that thought aside and let Lucas in but couldn't actually push that thought aside.
What if he really likes her more than a sister.

SATURDAY
9th JULY, 2021
Vanessa stopped scrolling through her news feed when she heard a knock in her door.
"May I come in." Came a familiar voice of a lover boy she unfortunately knew, from the other side.
"No you may not." Vanessa yelled out.
Lucas didn't pay attention to it and entered her room without her permission and took a deep breath.
'I'm yet to choke you and you are already taking deep breaths.' She thought sarcastically.
"I need your help." He started.
"No. Now get out." She dismissed him.
"Please I need your help." He pleaded looking at her with his puppy eyes.
'I'm known as a monster and I can't even resist those eyes.' She thought and groaned.
"Fine continue. Just saying your not playing fair." She said caving in.
" I can deal with that. Now you need to help me with Lizzy."
"Ok now why did you choose me over Victoria in talking about this." She asked quizzically.
Though both suck at love Victoria is slightly better.
"Trust me I came here to take advice of Vicky when you weren't here and she told me that she will hold me at gun point from another room and will shoot me if I decide to back out." he rolled his eyes and kept his hands on his hips and let out a sigh to be more dramatic.
" Your being dramatic." She said chuckling.
" Wha-oh I'm sorry for thinking that I didn't want to die before asking her out."
"Why are you so scared."
"Have you seen her-"
"yes, more than you have."
"That was a rhetorical question. Whenever I look at her my heart flutters, my hands become clammy, my throat becomes dry like a deer in the headlights and my mind stops working and can't get out a coherent word." he said all that in one go.
"OK so what exactly do you want me to do. Dress up as you and ask her out." Vanessa wondered out loud
"You will do that for me." He asked getting excited.
"Absolutely not. Now get lost." She opened the door tired of his romantic s**t.
"What Ness you ought to help m-." his voice drowns from the loud echo of a door slam,reverberating in the back of Vanessa's head making her cover her ears.
After a few minutes Vanessa went to the kitchen hoping to make a cake.

SATURDAY
9th JULY, 2021
Elizabeth found Lucas trudging his way across the halls.
She mustered all the courage she could find and approached him.
"hi, how are you." She mentally slapped herself for that.
'Seriously Eli that's the best you've got.' Lucas chuckled at that making Elizabeth flush even more embarrassment.
" hi, I'm doing good. What about you." He asked biting his lips.
"Im fine. So how did it go."
"She didn't have the answer to a question I asked so she asked me to wait while she tries to find the answer."
"So she kicked you out." She deadpanned.
"She kicked me out." he replied with a straight face.
"Welcome to the 'get your ass kicked out of Ness' room club.'" Elizabeth joked trying to lighten the mood.
"So what was that question I will see if I can answer." She asked making him blush a deep red. Elizabeth felt her heart ache at that.
'My conscience was right he likes her more than a sister.'
"You don't have to if you don't want to." She added swallowing the lump in her throat.
"I think only you can give the right answer to this question. I asked them if they think you will go out with me."
It took Elizabeth a few moments to understand what he said.
" WHAT." She shrieked when she did.
" You don't have to if you don't want to."he said scratching his arm looking down.
"YES." She yelled hurriedly scared he might change his mind if she didn't.
"I always had a thing for you I just didn't think those feelings would be reciprocated so I kept them to myself or I tried to as Vic and Ness got to know about them." She said fidgeting with her fingers.
" I felt the same way."he said and leaned in. She too leaned in when a pungent smell hit their nose.
'Don't tell me someone is burning the kitchen right now.' Elizabeth thought.
"I guess we have to deal with that before continuing what we started."he said making Elizabeth groan in frustration.
When they went to the kitchen they saw Vanessa with a burnt cake in her oven mitt cladded palm.
'This girl is infuriating.' She thought narrowing her eyes at her.
"Want to taste my new chocolate cake." Vanessa asked sheepishly making Elizabeth facepalm.
"It is a burnt cake not a chocolate cake."Lucas said perplexedly.
"It is a burnt chocolate cake it is a famous recipe in the bakery nowadays. You don't know?"she said the last part as a question to get someone to taste it.
'Haha I am so not falling for it this time.' Elizabeth thought bitterly thinking about that certain memory.
"It is?" Lucas asked to which Vanessa vigorously nodded her head.
'Don't fall for it.' Elizabeth chanted in her head.
Vanessa grinned like a Cheshire cat and served him a piece of the cake after removing the oven mitts.
"It looks hot."he commented.
"Ohh it is."Vanessa winked.
'Dirty minded freak.' Elizabeth cursed.
When he took the first bite. His face was definitely worth seeing. Elizabeth let out a loud laugh followed by Vanessa holding her stomach.
"People like, THIS.And what is this white thing. "he yelled in horror.
" No, only you and they must be eggs."Victoria said in between her laugh.
She stepped out of the kitchen for a brief moment to catch some lab rats to test their masterpiece.
"I don't like this. Remind me to never eat anything you people offer here. AND WHY IS THERE EGG SHELLS."
"then how will we be able to open our own Bakery without a lab rat." Vanessa said with a mischievous smile.
"The instruction told us to add 3 eggs."she added.
"You?bakery? Please don't, you are the worst cook out there."lucas shrieked and then pleaded.
"Hey don't give her all the credit I too helped her."Victoria said.
"Helped? What help do you need in burning a cake." Lucas asked in horror.
"A lot in fact. Like finding a cockroach."victoria said making Lucas go pale.
"W-wh-what."
"Finding a cockroach is rather easy compared to plucking it's wings. It was a handful, a warrior. May your soul rest in peace."Ness said with her hand on her chest.
" Hahaha buddy we are just kidding." Vicky said, relaxing lucas. "Hopefully" she added.
Elizabeth understood why Vanessa and Victoria likes to mess with people. Their expression is definitely worth it.
