He widens his eyes at me.
“What?”
“What did you say?”
“She told you, you are my daughter?”
He is surprised. I hope mum didn’t lie to me because this will be so embarrassing.
According to his reaction, I can see he didn’t know anything of the sort and I had to break the news to him this way! What was I thinking? I should have given it time. Gotten my facts straight first.
How was I supposed to do that? I have no idea but that’s what I should have done. It was stupid of me and I’m now with some confused man.
“Yes.” I say softly.
“Wow!” he stands and moves around without looking at me. He runs his hands on his face, as if rubbing off some memories . He goes back to his seat and looks at me shaking his head in disbelief.
“When did she tell you this?”
“Yesterday evening.” I answer
