SILAS POV Garrett’s voice slid into my head like a blade wrapped in velvet. ‘I’m outside. I’ve got everything you asked for.’ I blinked awake slowly, my body heavy and warm in a way I wasn’t used to anymore. For half a second, I didn’t understand why my chest felt pinned, why I couldn’t roll onto my side like I usually did when sleep broke. Then I looked down.
