I’d never thought this moment would be like this.. Never thought my heart would almost burst out of my chest with happiness, numbing my brain. The moment the twins ran into her, I almost cried, and now, stepping onto Hopeland soil with Helena’s hand in mine felt like an out-of-this-world experience.
That was the truth of it.
I was so proud of the woman and the mother she’d become, so f*****g happy to have my family back here with me… I wanted to shout it to the entire world. They were mine.
And believe me, I was going to.
In my mind, I spent the entire two hours of flight thinking about her Luna ceremony. Okay, not all two hours—some naughty thoughts slipped in here and there. And murderous ones too. But you get the picture.
